Applicants must complete and properly submit the application form no later than the ~ Jan 2025. Students must confirm that they meet the NIFT eligibility requirements before filling out the NIFT application form 2025. Students must wait for NIFT to release admit cards on their official website when the application form has been properly filled out and submitted, of which they will be notified on the registered e-Mail IDs or Phone Numbers.

What is NIFT?

One of India’s most esteemed design schools is the NIFT, or National Institute of Fashion Technology. For admission to Undergraduate Design Courses & Postgraduate Design Courses in India, NIFT holds entrance exams once every year.

At its 16 campuses, NIFT provides various Design Programs ranging from the degrees in Bachelor of Design (B.Des), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech), Master of Design (M.Des), Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M), and Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech).

The National Institute of Fashion Technology is set to conduct the NIFT Entrance Exam 2025 on ~ Feb 2025. NIFT 2025 form are out and last date for apllication window will be ~ Jan 2025.

Important Facts about NIFT Entrance Exam

Each year, more than 40,000 students take the GAT (General Ability Test) and CAT to be considered for admission to the NIFT (Creativity Ability Test). There are 4023 seats(Grand Total) available in the National Institute of Fashion Technology.
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam or an equivalent test from a recognized board to be admitted to undergraduate programs. Check the Eligibility discussed below.
Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs are the five components of the NIFT Syllabus.
The three-hour NIFT CAT Paper assesses candidates’ skills and observational abilities. And the Two-hour NIFT GAT Paper is only the aspirants of Bachelor in Design programs

First Step to NIFT Application Form 2025 Filling

So, before we go in to the details of the NIFT Application Form 2025, we must be aware of the basics. Therefore, the basic starts with the NIFT 2025 Entrance eligibility. Every Design Aspirant has to meet the NIFT eligibility criteria while filling out the NIFT Application Form 2025.

NIFT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Age

Under Graduate Courses:

Maximum age should be less than 24 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories.

Post Graduate Courses:

There is no upper age limit requirement for Post Graduate Program.

*The Post Graduate Programs at NIFT are advanced courses that require knowledge of design basics and assumes that students are conversant with the core skills and theories for successful program completion

IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION WHILE UPLOADING DOCUMENTS

Photograph

The photograph must be in colour format and must be taken in a professional studio.
Photographs must be taken against a white background.
The photograph must be recent and should have been taken after September 1, 2021.
Facial features should occupy about 80% of the area in the photograph, with a clear view of the whole face directly looking into the camera. The main features of the face must not be covered by hair of the head, any cloth, or any shadow. The forehead, both eyes, nose, cheeks, lips, and chin should be clearly visible.
If you wear spectacles, glare on glasses is not acceptable in your photo. Spectacles with dark or tinted glasses are not permitted; only clear glasses are permitted.
The digital version of your passport size photograph is to be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format, with a maximum size of 50 KB.

Signature

The signature must be in black colour only and must be written against a white background.
The signature must be scanned. Mobile phone photographs of signatures are not acceptable.
The signature is to be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format, with a maximum size of 50 KB

HOW TO FILL NIFT ENTRANCE EXAM APPLICATION FORM 2025?

Applicants have to fill their application form for the NIFT exam online on the official website of the national level design entrance exam. Candidates were to follow the below-mentioned steps to fill the application form for NIFT Entrance Exam 2025. Along with each of the steps to fill the application form for the NIFT exam, a screenshot of the actual NIFT application form has been shared.

Step 1: Login ID-

In order to register for the NIFT Entrance Exam, aspirants need to visit the official website of the design school and create a login ID. Details that candidates had to provide to create their NIFT login ID are mentioned below:

Once all these details were submitted, candidates have to log in to the official website using the registered email ID and date of birth. Once these details were provided, the NIFT login ID is created. Also, candidates had to note that details provided by them in their login ID could not be modified at a later stage. Thus, they had to fill in this information very carefully.

Step 2: Fill NIFT 2025 Application Form

After creating the login ID, candidates had to fill the below-mentioned details in the NIFT application form:

Step 3: Upload Photograph & Signature

Then the candidates have to upload their photograph and signature with their NIFT entrance exam application form. Both these files had to be uploaded in jpg/ jpeg format and should have been less than 50 KB in size.

Step 4: Pay NIFT Admissions Application Fee

Next, aspirants have to pay the application fee for the NIFT Entrance Exam which they could pay online (by means of Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Netbanking) or by Demand Draft (DD).

General/OBC (Non-Creamy) Category	Rs 3,000

Aspirants who opted to pay NIFT application fee through DD had to make sure that the NIFT Demand Draft was drawn in favour of “NIFT HO” and was payable at New Delhi. The DD for the NIFT application form had to include details such as the candidate’s name, date, fee amount, and signature of the issuing authority. Further, candidates applying for admission by paying the fee through DD had to send the printout of their duly filled NIFT application form along with the Demand Draft at the below-mentioned address:

Step 5: Take print of NIFT application form

Once all the above-mentioned steps are complete, candidates have to submit their NIFT entrance exam application form.

Please note- The correction window is allowed only at the 1st week of January where students can make necessary changes on their NIFT application form. Aspirants can edit as well as rectify mistakes made by them while filling up the application form. They are only allowed to access the correction window if they haven’t paid their form fees.

Candidates are only allowed to make these corrections in their forms. The city selected by the candidate while filling up the form can never be changed.
